A Hyde School Faculty Reflection

Hyde School Staff Story
I was never a Hyde student - instead, I taught at Hyde for three years, on the now-shuttered Woodstock CT campus.

It was the hardest, most rewarding job I've ever had, with the best team I've ever worked with. There's a depth of connection and camaraderie amongst Hyde School faculty that you don't get anywhere else. I knew that each and every faculty member had my back and cared about me, both personally and professionally. I knew that I could talk seriously and even vehemently with them, and share everything from teaching tips to ethical concerns without losing trust.
Since Hyde School I've worked at MIT and then Harvard, as a researcher, an instructional designer for online courses, and now - unexpectedly - a manager. I came into Hyde with years of teaching experience, but I wouldn't be the core of my team without the calm, connection, and insight I learned in my three years.
